# Scheduled Standups

> Set up Beacon to run an automatic FinOps standup in your Slack channel.

## What a standup looks like

A Beacon standup is a short, structured summary posted automatically at a configured time. It covers:

* Yesterday's cost vs prior day
* Any new anomalies or findings detected
* Open actions and who owns them
* FinOps score (weekly, not daily)

## Setting up a standup

```
@Beacon run a FinOps standup here every weekday at 9am
```

## Customizing the standup

```
@Beacon run a standup here every Monday — include the security score and top 3 open findings
@Beacon add AI spend to the daily standup
@Beacon remove the FinOps score from the daily standup — just cost and anomalies
```

## Who gets notified

Standups post to the channel. Finding owners are @mentioned when they have open actions.
