# Security Actions & Verification

> Track security fixes from assignment through to verified cost reduction.

## The full lifecycle

OpsBeacon tracks security findings from discovery to verified resolution:

1. **Detected** — finding appears in GuardDuty or Security Hub
2. **Surfaced** — Beacon includes it in the Security Economics Report
3. **Assigned** — you assign the finding to a team member
4. **Resolved** — the fix is applied
5. **Verified** — Beacon confirms the finding no longer appears in the next scan

## Assigning a finding

## Marking a finding resolved

@Beacon mark finding-01 as resolved
```

Beacon will check for the finding in the next security scan. If it no longer appears, it's marked as verified and the monthly exposure is removed from your total.
