# Managing Workspaces and Settings

> Configure OpsBeacon for your workspace.

## Viewing your settings

```
@Beacon show me workspace settings
@Beacon what AWS account is connected?
@Beacon what channel do reports post to?
```

## Updating settings

```
@Beacon change the reporting channel to #cloud-costs
@Beacon update the cost alert threshold to $20,000
```

## Workspace configuration options

* Default reporting channel
* Cost alert thresholds
* Scheduled report times and channels
* Timezone (for scheduled reports)
* Loaded hourly rate (for remediation cost calculations)

## Setting your loaded hourly rate

OpsBeacon uses a default engineering hourly rate for remediation cost calculations. To use your actual rate:

```
@Beacon set engineering hourly rate to $150
```
