# Score Changes & Trends

> Track how your FinOps Health Score changes over time.

## Weekly score tracking

Beacon calculates your FinOps Health Score each time you run a report or ask for it. Over time, it tracks the history and surfaces trends.

## Score change alerts

You can configure Beacon to alert you when your score drops significantly:

@Beacon alert me if my FinOps score drops more than 5 points
```

## What causes score drops

* New security findings that increase your exposure
* Committed spend expiring (RIs or Savings Plans) that reduces coverage
* New AI workloads launching without efficiency tuning
* Increases in idle or underutilized resources
